The ball can be kicked on artificial grass

Symbolically Tamás Sándor and junior Tamás Sándor took over from Mr. Lajos Kósa on Tuesday afternoon the newest establishment of Oláh Gábor Street Sport Centre, the artificial grassy ground meeting with FIFA standards.

In the inauguration ceremony Mr. Mihály Orendi, the managing director of Debrecen Sport Centre Public Utility Co., called the moment of inauguration historical saying that the present’s and future’s football players of Debrecen can already prepare for their matches in conditions worthy to the results of DVSC. After that he thanked the managers of the City that modernization of the training field could be realized with their support.
 
Mayor Lajos Kósa first of all jocularly said that it may have been unnecessary to build an artificial grassy field because ’Loki’ will win the championship and hopefully the cup without it. Then changing the subject serious, he added that nowadays it is necessary to have such an establishment for better training both for a top team and for the new generation.
 
After that the artificial grassy field meeting with the FIFA standards was taken over symbolically by Tamás Sándor - the most successful and the most popular  player - and by his son. The younger Sándor tried the artificial grass soon when he came to the field in one of the team of sport school having match against each other. In the match of the teams completed with the adult squad members probably leaving out of the Wednesday cup final -  Szatmári, Virágh, Takács – and completed with the three young people there were many goals, to the happiness of the young. 
 
István Hermann project manager told about the establishment that it costed some 200 million forints and the necessary amount was borrowed as a loan by the Sport Centre Public Utility Co. with the guarantee of the Local Government. On the 105x68 m large field and the 40x20 m warming-up field there is five centimetre artificial grass, under which a 1,5 cm elastic material ensures the adequate elasticity. Both fields are drained, furthermore the drained water is utilized for the irrigation of other parts of the sports establishments. The manager told that the fields can be used not only by the sportsmen, but anyone else for rental fee. The 500 lux light intensity lighting makes it possible to play there in the evening.
