’Matyi’ achieved success for Sport Centre

It has already been the fifth time that Debrecen Turkey Days were organised in Kossuth Square of our city on 9-10 June. The team of Debrecen Sport Centre – Sport School represented itself for the third time in the popular turkey cooking competition where we proved that we can stand the ground not only in competition organisation but in cooking as well.

We cooked the favourite meal of the European Athletics U23 Championships’ mascot, ‘Matyi’ – tarragon turkey meat soup – which won not only the public’s, but also the jury’s approval, therefore we finished in distinguished places in several categories. The jury with its famous persons rewarded the Sport Centre team with the first place for the wittiest pavilion, the second place for the prettiest serving and the fourth place in the category of flavour.
