Bocskai memorial contest

The 52nd István Bocskai International Memorial Contest began on 16th January. Differently from the practise up to now, the four-day-long event known all over Europe is going to be arranged not in Hódos Imre Event Hall but in Oláh Gábor Street Sportshall.

The fact that in February Olympic qualification tournament will be organised in Pescara, raises the importance of this year’s competition. In the event, which has become one of the largest boxing competitions of Europe for today, 84 boxers of 16 countries are entering. There will be several Hungarian boxers among them for whom spectators can cheer. Among the competitors of ’Hajdúság’ there is Norbert Kalucza from DVSC and Miklós Varga from Hajdúsámson who have already been champions of the competition earlier.

Daily tickets cost 500 HUF, while four-day tickets are 1500 HUF.
