Treasure Day a Great Success

The talent scouting program of the Debrecen Sport Centre and Sport School called “Treasure-Hunter” has been going on for three years now. At the moment about 160 children of 9-10 take part in the trainings of the various sports and the so-called little “Treasures” have a chence to get acquainted with the program and the staff as well.

One of the important stages of the program was Treasure Day organized at the Debrecen Sport Centre where children could show their talent in running and throwing, hurdle-race and skill games. This year’s Treasure Day was again a gathering in good spirits with hundreds of parents and relatives supporting the children after Mihály Orendi, Director of the Sport Centre opened the event.

The program was properly coordinated by Péter Skoumal, head of the athletic section, even though he was in a fever, and the importance of the day was further emphasized by the presence and support of Vice-Mayor János Halász who took part in the award-giving ceremony as well.
