“We have to go step by step”!
J.P. MacCallum, Hungary’s U20 captain says the national team consists of talented players, which means they can overcome obstacles successfully in December. The head coach spoke willingly of the World Champs in Debrecen:
- What result would satisfy you at the end of the Division II World Championship?
– Seeing the preparation tournament in Bled I am definitely expecting good results in the Phoenix Hall. We have many talented players in this year’s team and I hope that under the directions of my colleague, Péter Mayer and myself the team will be really successful.
– Who can be the key figures in the team?
– The two goalkeepers are our strong points. Bence Bálizs and Miklós Rajna are excellent goalies what they have proved in Bled as well. Our defensemen Attila Orbán and Dániel Kiss are really efficient in controlling the game and their superb passes draw the forwards into play. We have talents, good skaters in the forward line as well such as István Bartalis or Adrián Tóth.
– Who seem to be the main rivals in the fight for earning promotion?
– At this moment I cannot answer this question since I am not familiar with the teams and players we are going to face. We have to go step by step and regard each and every opponent as the toughest rival. |
