IAAF World Youth Athletics Championships

The new Athletic Stadium capable of holding thousand of spectators was built in the Oláh Gábor Sportcomplex for one of the most high ranking sporting event in the sporting history of Eastern Hungary. It was built in a very short period and now it is one of the best establishment in Debrecen. It was the first competition of the Sportcentrum Kht. It is due to give a gold medal for their work as for the two hammer throwers, Andrea Kéri and József Horváth.
Szilvia Pistár and János Farkas were the two participants of Debrecen.
