The special (recortan) 8-lane running field and tribune building were built for the 2001 Youth Athletic Championships is a unique establisment not only in Hungary but also in the Carpath region. The standard of the track is showed by the excellent qualification from the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), and the official IAAF International Training Centre title.

Since the world championships many foreign stars returned to debrecen for training camps and there is great chance that the mini-training camp with excellent facilities will be chosen by athletes for preparation or competing area.
