IIHF World U18 Championship Division II

Six teams including the Hungarian national team were competing for the first place during a week in the Fõnix Hall's ice-rink. Although the Ukrainians won in the end the Hungarians didn't have to be sad with the silver medal. Thanks for their performance all the fans of the city were going crazy for the hockey and on the last most important match there were 5500 spectators cheering for Fekti's team.
During the IIHF World U18 Championship's organization the Debrecen ice-rink was built on the Derék street. This establishment offers excellent opportunity for the ice hockey and provides great facilities for everybody.
