Women Handball European Championship

The Women Handball Championship from 9th to 19th of December was the most famous sporting event in 2004 in Hungary. Debrecen was one of the hosts cities.
One of the qualifying groups with four teams played in the Fõnix Hall and then the spectators could see the Hungarian team's semifinal matches. Szilárd Kiss's team finished on the 3rd place.

Anita Kulcsár who was died in tragic circumstances in January in 2005 was performed very well. Gabriella Szûcs was the only player from DVSC from Debrecen in the Hungarian team but she didn't play during the Championship.
