36th World Gymnastics Championships

It was a good idea that Debrecen undertook the organization of this event which would have been in an other city originally. Thanks for this the Fõnix Hall was built and we managed to establish a good contact with the management of the international federation. The competition's success was guaranteed by the Hungarian competitors' performance the fans and by the organizing committee. And in the end Szilveszter Csollány's gold medal lighted up the championships.

Bruno Grandi the president of the FIG said that this World Gymnastics Championships was the best ever.
